Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Gastroenterologist to join our esteemed hospital in palakkad kerala india. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in diagnosing and treating various gastrointestinal diseases. The role involves managing both outpatient and inpatient cases, performing endoscopic procedures, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide the highest level of care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Diagnose and treat a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders, including but not limited to, IBS, GERD, IBD, hepatitis, pancreatitis, and liver diseases.
Procedures: Perform endoscopic procedures such as upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, and EUS, among others.
Inpatient and Outpatient Management: Manage both inpatient and outpatient services, providing continuity of care.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with other specialists, including surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, and dietitians, to ensure comprehensive care.
Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about gastrointestinal conditions, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications.
Research and Continuous Education: Stay updated with the latest advancements in gastroenterology and participate in research activities or clinical trials as needed.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough medical records, including patient history, examination findings, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
Qualifications:
Education: MD in Gastroenterology or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Experience: Minimum 0 to 22 years of experience in gastroenterology (specific requirements may vary).
Licensure: Valid medical license to practice in India.
Skills: Proficient in performing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with advanced endoscopic techniques (e.g., EUS, ERCP).
Experience in managing complex gastrointestinal cases.
Participation in research or clinical trials.
