Job Summary:

Urgent requirement for General surgeon for a hospital in Chennai Tamil Nadu. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and surgically treating patients with a wide range of conditions. The role involves providing high-quality care, performing surgeries, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform surgeries to treat various medical conditions, including but not limited to abdominal, gastrointestinal, and soft tissue disorders. Conduct pre-operative and post-operative consultations with patients and their families. Assess and diagnose patient conditions, recommending surgical interventions when necessary. Collaborate with anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective surgical procedures. Provide follow-up care, including monitoring recovery, managing complications, and adjusting treatment plans as needed. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including surgical reports, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Participate in regular case discussions, clinical audits, and continuing medical education (CME) programs. Adhere to hospital policies, including those related to patient safety, confidentiality, and ethical practices. Mentor and guide junior medical staff, including residents and interns.

Qualifications:
MBBS with MS/DNB in General Surgery from a recognized institution. Valid medical license to practice as a surgeon in India. Minimum of 0 to 23 years of experience as a General Surgeon, preferably in a hospital setting. Proficient in laparoscopic and open surgical techniques. Strong decision-making skills and ability to work under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
